My home laster printer (Samsung ML-1710) really needed a new toner. After a bit of comparison, I figured, I'll give a try to toner refill kits.
I got a Universal refill kit #6. It is a breeze to replace, but look at the instructions first. On Samsung's toner you need to drill the hole on the right, pour some toner in and put a cap on.

I really like the refill-toner cartridge kits and I believe that they have great potential, but I don't feel confident enough to actually purchase one. The risk to my Samsung printer is too high if something should go wrong or spillage occurs inside the printer. Is this a common incident? I have heard from a few people that they have had to replace their printer completely, but I think if filled and loaded properly there should be no chance for disaster. Refill kits save tons of money on replacement cartridges, but if you do not fill and insert it correctly, major problems may occur.
